To add a new User Profile in the Jarrison Time clocking system first ensure that the machine being used for the configuration has been licensed correctly.
1) On the menu bar click on User > Profiles.
2) In the User Profiles window click on Add in the bottom left corner.
3) Enter the username (what the user will enter to login), user description (what will appear in the Jarrison Time status bar), password and confirm password. This can be a temporary password to be given to the user who will then immediately change it when they login.
The “Change Password at next login” box will be ticked by default. This will give a message at the next login for this user to change the password. If you wish to set the password rather then letting the user set it, untick this checkbox.
An email address can be added to permit notifications.
4) On the Permissions tab privileges can be set-up for this user’s role, specifying functions they are allowed to use in the time and attendance software as well as which employees they can work on. An appropriate User Group for the user should already have been created.
It’s recommended to test user credentials after the profile has been created by logging in exactly as the new user will (resetting the password again afterwards).
